This leading private technical and vocational education and training (TVET) college won the award for the exceptional quality of its training, which is helping the plumbing industry deliver an excellent service to customers. Tjeka Training Matters is an IOPSA-approved training provider. Through this affiliation with the institute, the TVET college has kept pace with the skills demands of the plumbing industry. Many young professionals working in the industry have attained their qualification in plumbing from Tjeka Training Matters.
“We are exceptionally proud of the acknowledgement that we have received from IOPSA for the part that we are playing in developing a strong pipeline of competent plumbing skills that are needed to move the industry forward. Plumbing remains one of our most popular skills paths among both men and women. This is considering the very high demand for qualified plumbers in the country. There is also a lot to be proud of when you earn a livelihood from delivering efficient, secure and safe water and sanitation services,” Frans Toua, Chief Executive Officer of Tjeka Training Matters, says.
Siya Dilimeni, Director of Tjeka Training Matters, says, “We laud IOPSA for the large part that it is playing in promoting plumbing as an elite profession among young South Africans. In turn, Tjeka Training Matters remains committed to equipping all our learners with the plumbing skills that they need to excel in the workplace so that they can also make a substantial contribution to the growth, development of transformation of the industry and the economy at large,” Dilimeni concludes.
