OUR TRAINING PROGRAMMES

Tjeka Training Matters provides the following training routes:

Learnerships:

Tjeka’s CETA-accredited and SAQA-registered learnerships provide a structured learning programme towards a national qualification. The unit-standard-based training consists of between 30% and 70% theory in a classroom environment and minimum of 30% and a maximum of 70% workplace learning. They comprise three types of unit standards, namely Fundamental, Core and Elective. Elective unit standards are field specific and represent a planned and appropriate intervention that has been structured according to a qualification. Tjeka’s skilled and experienced site managers/mentors and coaches provide the necessary support for the job-learning component of the learnership.

Tjeka’s management of learnerships encompasses:

  • Registering the learnership on behalf of the client.
  • Provision of learner training and assessment material.
  • Undertaking institutionalised training and formative assessments.
  • Two attempts at re-assessment.
  • Preparation of portfolios for CETA-certification audits.
  • Liaising with the training authority for issue of certificates.

This is in addition to administering the following areas of learnerships:

  • The capture of competencies on the CETA database.
  • On-site training records.
  • Planning, scheduling and management of on-site assessments.
  • Monthly progress reports and action plans.
  • Internal moderation of assessment results.
