Tjeka Training Matters Gauteng team ready to provide quality training in STABILA, fischer and Milwaukee products
Tjeka Training Matters’ facilitators in Gauteng recently received training on the use of the renowned STABILA levelling and positioning tools, fischer fixings and Milwaukee products from Upat SA’s technical team. This will enable Tjeka Training Matters to provide quality training on the use of these cutting-edge products on behalf of Upat SA as part of an innovative partnership between these two leading participants in the South African civil-engineering construction and building industries.
Tjeka Training Matters will incorporate STABILA levelling and positioning tools, fischer fixings and Milwaukee power and hand tool products in various construction skills paths. These include Learnerships and Skills Programmes, as well as a range of quality short courses geared at developing and refining skills for zero defects on building and civil-engineering construction worksites. In this way, Tjeka Training Matters will expose new participants in the industry to STABILA levelling and positioning tools, fischer fixings and Milwaukee products that are used widely throughout the construction industry. They include the many emerging contractors and small-medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs) that Tjeka Training Matters also trains as part of its enterprise development programmes. These skills paths are in high demand as government embarks on a large public works programme to stimulate economic growth and create opportunity for SMMEs and emerging contractors through large infrastructure-delivery programmes. There has also been a marked increase in the demand for apprenticeship and leadership training from this leading private Technical and Vocational Education and Training college. This comes as industry ramps up capacity to undertake these projects that demand high levels of proficiency from contracting teams.
Upat SA Technical Sales Director, Kerry Kuhlmann, notes that “the team here at Upat is delighted to be partnering with Tjeka in their various training initiatives. Training using the best possible tools and fixings is essential for trades people who need to rely on the accuracy of their tools, as well as the reliability of the fixings they use.”
Tjeka Training Matters’ team based at the new state-of-the-art training and trade testing facility in Fisantekraal, Western Cape, is next in line to receive training from Upat SA. The facility has already received its STABILA levelling and positioning tools, fischer fixings and Milwaukee products. This means that learners have already started working with the products while learning their trade at what is currently the most advanced training and trade test centre in the Western Cape.
Frans Toua, Chief-Executive Officer of Tjeka Training Matters, describes the recent training undertaken at the company’s state-of-the-art training centre in Randfontein as a resounding success.
“The training was both informative and instructive. Our team in Gauteng is now very prepared to provide quality training in these premium products on behalf of Upat SA. Through this partnership, we are also in a fortunate position to be among the first to learn about the many new innovations from Upat SA that we can also impart to learners so that they are at the cutting-edge of industry practice when they start applying their trades. Tjeka Training Matters looks forward to forging a long and lasting professional relationship with Upat SA moving forward,” Toua concludes.
